Assassin bonus damage isn't working properly

I'm not sure if this is a bug or an intentional nerf, but the bonus acid damage doesn't work against any of the bosses I've fought recently.
I'm already aware that there are some limitations to how the bonus damage works, but the usual limitations don't apply to these bosses.
The damage doesn't work on Aganoga, Aganoga Attendents, Angar, Balfar, or Umgah Mages (not a boss, just a mob I've fought recently).
It does work on Image Of Aganogas and other Umgah mobs, so it's not a problem with the build or weapons.
