I was in game this morning, when I had a power blink. Now, I cannot load NW

More than once:

I have shut down the PC;

I have logged out of Steam;

I have verified the local files;


So, I finally reinstalled NW.

Nope - The farthest I get is the button with STOP is PLAY for about three seconds, then goes back to STOP.

I can load the toolset, but that's it (I don't use that).

Anybody else run into Steam refusing to load NW? Not just recently, but any time? I know it's not a server issue, but...

Was working fine before the power blinked.

try reconstructing the game files:

on steam, library, nwn, properties, local files, verify integrity of game files

if that doesn't work, try checking manually if the game is fully updated and such

You can try clearing the download cache in steam as well.
This can be done by selecting Steam (top left of the client)> Settings>Downloads.
The Clear Download Cache button is in the last little section with a nice big button

Nothing has worked, including the DISM.

I've updated windows as well.

Ah well. I'll figure something out, or go back to Conan Exiles...

I think, it is time to confirm, that UPS became critical part of any PC. Uninterruptible Power Supply allow protect hardware and windows integrity.

After serious crash, when nothing work properly, IMHO it is cheaper to reinstall windows instead to repair it endlessly.
