Most forge stones stack into one nice pile, but some of them don't.
I have no idea why, so assuming it is a bug.
Here are the stones that I have found multiple of that don't stack:
White, Black, Blue, Green.
(And while mentioning green, it bothers me to no end that they look exactly the same as Green Socket Gems)

This is not a bug. It is because the base item used does not have stacking. I.E. Miscellaneous Small types.
