Eon's Ring

I was wearing Eon's ring when I converted to another god. It automatically went into my inventory and now I can't get rid of it. It says I can't give the item away. It also says I can't use it if I try to put it on.

Is there a way I can get rid of it?

So can Eon's ring just be converted to function at the end of a rest automatically? Saves the need for the item
