I'm confused again. I bought a dog. It died and vanished. Are they supposed to do that? Or can you heal/rez them somehow?
I have a faint memory of having bought a dog once before, and it respawned after the fight, hence my confusion.

I think it's random. Based on a the roll of the dice?

Re: Attack dogs?
Not sure off the top of my head. I will have to look.
Re: Attack dogs?
It looks like the script that checks to see if the master is valid and if it isn't, then the attack dogs destroys itself.
I have re-written the code, hopefully it will behave better.

Re: Attack dogs?
I'm not having any luck with the dogs.... I bought a dog, walked to the undead shrine, killed couple of zombies, healed the dog, went into the crypt and the dog vanished. Is that correct behaviour, or a bug? Aren't the dog supposed to follow you into another area? Or is it treated like a horse and left outside? Either way, when I got out, the dog was long gone.
On the other hand, when another dog I bought died, it revived and rejoined the fight. So that bug is fixed.

I've noticed in NWN every once in a while your summons completely disappear on transition. I'd say you got unlucky.
Re: Attack dogs?
It's a bug where summons disappear on area transitions.
Re: Attack dogs?
I've been losing dogs recently not on transition... just in combat

For me, they usually revive unless you click on them when they're dead.
