BSK1: Forge stones

Is there an IG means of finding out the effects of the various forge stones? Or is it a case of every adventurer for himself (or herself) by trial and error?

(Yep, I've just learned the expensive way not to apply a purple stone to a prized weapon.)

I usually play Gatori or Gabrial , If you see me online just ask RP or OOC I'd be glad to help . I learned the expensive way too .
