Same name characters.
Hi, just so happened that there are 2 characters on the server with the name Aya. And it causes quite a confusion. I was wondering if there is anyway to fix it? Eventhough I like that name and used that name for my Elven Female Arcane Archer in all the games I am willing to change it just to keep the confusion to a minimum.
Is there any way I could change the name for my character?

Does anyone remember a character named Xillow? Sometimes newbies would take his name and he would take them out. Oh, those were the good ol' days.
As far as I know there is no way to change your character's name. The only substitute I can think of is remaking the character, which no one wants to do. But if the character is level 5, and youre level 30, I'd ask that level 5 character to please choose another name.

There is a way to change it but... then if Driller says "NO" then even that is not going to happen. Players themselves can not do it, especially in a server vault world such as BSK is.
But even if it was possible and BSK was open vault it is risky to do as it could still corrupt the character file, which is why I think Driller will not touch it either. Could cause more problems than it is worth, plus doing it once would mean an endless stream of others requesting it too.

There is one way but like Queen Naga said it would be up to driller since he is the one with the vaults and he would have to do the work, It is a system called LETO,

that is the only way that I can think of and it is annoying to use best things like the others have said is to make a new char

LETO also opens up all sorts of problems as well... you can change not only your name, but your description, statistics, saves, levels, classes, race, and for more advanced users you can change just about anything you could possibly imagine, including appeares, model parts, and a bazillion other things. It's a very 'useful' tool, however one that is too powerful to allow the public to have free reign over.
=D It's a good suggestion though, gf! LETO just provides too many back doors which with educated lamers can mess things up.

True, there is 'technically' a way to do it, but doing so would open up a can of worms which does not need to be opened.
Basic rule of thumb:
If it is something that a player can correct in any fashion, then please take care of it yourself.
In this case, the options boil down to two things:
1.) The account could be pulled,
look through the PC files for the likely character file,
move the file to the local vault for a single player mod,
select existing character,
select the character file from the local vault list,
select the customize select character (Can't recall the icon title) option,
jump down past race and stuff to the customize icon near the bottom (Most of the icons will be void anyways),
hop to the name and voice screen,
Enter the new name,
enter the game,
save the character,
exit the game,
go to the local vault
pull the updated character file,
move the file to the server vault,
place the character file in the correct PCfile under the right account name,
hope that the right character was selected in the first place.
OR... 2.) The player can rebuild thier character.
True, option 2 can be a pain, but it would be a pain for only one person and only if that person considers it worth the effort.
If option 1 was adopted, every time there was:
a wedding
a typo in the name
a typo in the description
...or a host of other things...
...people would expect thier name tobe changed.
Do not get me wrong. I am not attempting to be critical of the original posters request. I am just trying to clarify why something like option 1 is simply not a practical excercise.

It was not that tough to remake knowing what I have learn already.
Wasqa - The Elven Archer wonabe.
It's 7.10 am here and that gave me a good laugh. I read that as:
Wasqa - The Elven Archer wannabe, or wonabe. Sounds the same.
