1.23 Auto-Downloading Failure

I also want a file in your main Neverwinter Nights 2 directory. Where the nwn2main.exe is installed not the My Documents one.
The file is called nwn2main. sort the files by date, it should be a recent one, it is a crash log.

I got the message "Extension is not allowed."

It seems there is an issue with AMD XP CPUs and the patch 1.23.
Others are reporting this same issue in the beta forums.

Well the good thing is we know other people are having the same problem. We will have to wait a bit but, im sure obsidian will resolve it soon. Thanks driller for all your help and if you come up with another idea please let us know

I have AMD CPU's (AMD Turion X2 64) on my laptop and was receiving the same error, but I found out that if I go to the NWN install directory and execute nwn2main.exe direcly, that I can log on with no issues. I have not seen any problems using nwn2main.exe over nwn2main_amdxp.exe yet.

Thank you alnyndur for you're tip.
I've tried to do like you, but the game crashes before it has finished loading.

I hope obsidian make the Patch that fix this available soon.
