A crafting question

I have a question for some master crafters. If I have an weapon with +1 enhancement bonus, can I put +20 attack bonus on it? Will the forge allow me to? Will the AB override the EB or vice versa?

Along the same lines....a piece of armor with +2 AC, can I put +6 AC over it?

Anyone who can help me with these answers would be greatly appreciated. :D

Thanks

If I remember correctly ( and it has been awhile )
EB overrides AB, so you wont get the 20, so your gonna have to put on EB.

EB and AB don't stack.

No, if an item already has EB, AB, or AC on it then it can not be improved upon later.

Best to start with a blank slate ... a weapon or armor without Ac or AB or EB ... socketed equipment works or a drop that has neat qualities but no AC or AB or EB.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was wondering

I have collected some good items that would sell high, but I was going to use the "Random Property Removal Tool" on them. Then the tool changed to just work on socketed items. :( Then I thought I might just add the +20 AB or +6 AC, but now I know.

Thanks again.
