Return of the pirate - Ki'Kai's journal

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ It had been some time since Kai had set foot back in the Keep. For a while she had left to venture off in other realms. Adding to her riches, knowledge and experience of things. Even had the chance to experience the act of motherhood. For at one time Kai was actually happily married to a man and together they had twins. But that all seemed like another life now. Yet the images of watching her daughter die in front of her eyes, watching the mast break on her own ship only to swing down to impale her child during a storm. It was heartbreaking, an soon after that the rest had died, including her beloved husband. It weighed heavily on her, losing all she held so dear to her all at once. Truely she felt cursed to walk the realms alone, with only her demon pet as her companion. ~

~ Kai held up at Tam's for a while, drinking herself into oblivion half the time to drown out what life she use to have. Day after day the rum bottles rolled. An any smile that would grace her face would only be that of a facade. Tam did her best to help Kai get through it, and Kai had a sense of family around Tam. Might not have helped lightened her spirit any but it surely gave her some kind of soothing feeling. She moped around the island for good time until that restless need to be free called. So when nature pulled and let her know it was time to move on. Kai left a note for Tam and quietly left as quietly as she had arrived. ~

~ After leaving Tam's Kai just wandered around on the big blue sea. It was just her and Hellion now, since she had to dispose of the crew while at Tam's. Something she wished she hadn't done. It wasn't that easy to manuver the huge ship with just her and the demon dog. But it surely was quiet, that she enjoyed. Just her and him. At days at a time they were just drop anchor off a deserted island and relax. Swimming off the coast in the crystal blue water then basking in the sun on the white sandy beach. It was bliss, stretching out in nothing with nothing but palm trees around. Sipping on rum and coconut water, then fishing an cooking over a open fire. No care in the world. And for the first time since the deaths of her family members. She smiled~

~ Hellion always had that effect on her and him gallivanting around on the beach then in the water lifted her spirits immensely. She could be herself since there was no prying eyes and that gave her such a exuberating feel of freedom. ~

~ Couldn't get much better to her, lounging around on a paradise looking beach, playing and swimming in the ocean freely as she pleased. Then there was the night time events. Oh, how she loved that. Running through the forests with the wildlife. So untamed. The feeling of being unbridled when she would run, bound and leap. Changing in the night to let the beast out to roam and how much it had become apart of her now. Her curse and yet her gift. The most amazing at all was even in true form, her companion was always with her. Not as a human but running beside her an that she loved most. Was probably why she felt so close to him, as she was starting to with most canines rather then humans now ~

~ As the healing period came to a close Kai and Hellion came to the close of their little vacation. Once back on board of the Morning Star pirate ship, she stood proud on the edge of the ship.~

~ Kai now stood with one hand on her hip while the other holding on to the rope, saying her good byes and thanks to that island that had helped her so much. With a heavy sigh that followed with a devious little grin as her now golden eyes looked down to her companion~

" It is time to return to the Keep my partner in crime. "

~ For a moment she paused, sucking in the side of her facial cheek as she tilted her head then let her face relax as she spoke with more of a playful tone~

" Though I doubt I shall be as quiet this time around "

~ A small laugh was given as she jumped down off the edge of the ship railing. Hellion snorted with a smokey approval. The two now bustled as they set sail. Returning to the Keep like many times as they had done before, after all they were apart of the first family of pirates to arrive. Amongest other things so it would be such a disappointment not to visit ever so often so others could have the chance to witness her sparkling personality. ~

Is it or is it not?

~ A bright sun sank beneath the liquid gold sea as night fall began to rise. That was the sight Kai' took in as she sat over and on the railing of teh upper deck of her ship. Legs dangled over the choppy water that rocked the large vessel. Care free her arms hung over her thighs , her right hand barely gripping a half drunken rum bottle which was between. A soft salty breeze washed over, blowing the white sails an rattled the restraints. Yet the sounds did not disturb the young Captain, not even her dark locks of hair blowing in front of her angelic face seemed to phase her. In fact, the only signs of life that had come from her was the occasional heavy sigh and swig of the rum bottle.

Kai had recently moved out of her friend Tam's mansion and was now just living off her pirate ship, though it was docked to her friend's island it was isolation to her. Something she needed. Time away from others to drink those horrid memories out. It was not that long ago she bared witness to her only daughter dying. That storm still clear in her mind, and that cracking. That aweful cracking of the mast breaking then swinging like a pendulum only to impale the child. All happening so fast yet so slow. Part of Ki'Kai died that night. Then more soon after. Ki'Kai really did start to believe she was cursed. Not only by her family secret but by all the events that happened after that one night. She knew the moment everything else had happened as well. That the very same night after Kiara was impaled some how a twist of fate claimed her twin brother at war in the same manner. All played out as is a sick destiny. An while Ki'Kai was on her way back to her husband Robert thats when it was felt. As soon as the anchor dropped so she could leave to tell him the news. Since after all, Ki'Kai had been out sailing with her daughter while Robert was doing his manly thing some where an their son at training camp.

As she arrived thats when inside of leaving her ship Ki'Kai fell to her knees. Such a strong pain had never been felt of lost. Robert to died, Ki'Kai never knew how but she just knew an felt him fading until he had completely left her. Ki'Kai after screaming at the gods and beating her fists against the deck of her ship just laided there helpless. Helpless, she couldn't save her children an nor was she good enough to save her husband. They all had left her in one twisted swoop of destiny.

Memories of all that is what haunt Ki'Kai till this day. It is why she stays on her now empty ship drinking the days away. With only a hellish hound, her long trusted companion to keep her company.

Her nostrils flexed as she took in the salty breeze and her eye lids slowly draped over her reflective golden eyes, her hand brought the bottle to her lips as she took the rest of the rum down then dropped the bottle into the sea below when it was finished.

Burping she swung her legs back over for her bare feet to touch down on the wooden deck. She grunted as she stood up straight, cracking her back then stretched her muscular body. As she walked by her finger tips briefly touched the wheel then went to the railing as she walked down the few steps then turned to go into the Captain's quarters.

After opening then closing the door she stubbed her foot on something in the dark. Cursing underneath her breath as she brought her foot up with both hands an rubbed it. After she had soothed it she lowered it back down but only to end up stepping on an empty bottle rolling around on the floor, causing her to slip then fall back hard. The wind had gotten knocked out of her an for a while it was hard for her to breathe. In the moment of slight panic she could have sworn she heard a man's voice telling her to breathe. Even fell arms lifting her up from the ground trying to calm her.

For a short while she started to think she was dead. When she finally was able to take a deep breath as if she had never taken one before. Inside herself she felt embarrassed, having gone through wars, torture, and so much death it was disturbing how just a little fall could inflict that much.

Now from being too busy with her own thoughts she hadn't realized yet she was now on her bed and not alone either. Someone was brushing her hair away from her face. Reality finally set it an she snapped her head to look over at the person with wide eyes. Even with her gifted curse she could not see him, the beast within was blind. Scrambling off the bed to her feet as her heart started to beat faster. Her eyes darted around wildly because strangely enough. She could see everything but the man she had heard. Even the breathes she drew in with her sense of smell registered nothing that was not familiar.

" Who goes there! Indentify yourself! "

Instinctively her eyes looked around her room for her scimitar yet it was no where to be found. Another thing that she had found strange. Moving herself to the wall then down on the ground as she found a empty bottle. It took more then two hits for it to break, which something in itself was odd. Considering the strength of Ki'Kai. An as she stared at the bed, she started to move closer to find the intruder. But before she got too close thats when his breath was felt on the back of her neck. Nothing was said. Just a hand raised an her hair moved to one side as he leaned down to kiss her scarred shoulder.

While the man seemed busy to try his little seductive suave moves on the pirate, she swung to jab that broken bottle at his face. Though before she made it her arms were being restrained in front of her body. Criss crossing to here the broken bottle was just in front of the man's face but not harming.

Gently he kissed her as if he had loved her. After the kiss he softly brushed his cheek against her worn flesh, he knew those scars on her body all too well. And he knew the stories of her life. Yet she was still beauty to him, every horrible scar was beautiful to him because it was apart of her. The tip of his nose glided up her neck then to her ear lobe. He just took in her scent an allowed the front part of his body to press against her back. He so achingly took in the feel of her body, the scent of what she really was. Not just the woman but the beast as well.

Ki'Kai on the other hand stood there frozen an confused, confused because at time she didn't want to fight and that she actually enjoyed it. Even melted at the gestures from the unknown man. Her eyes closed as her head tilted to one side though only for a briefest of time for she soon returned back to her cold self. Not wanting to admit she had enjoyed anything. When he had seemed to have stopped. While he was just holding her tightly an close to him, an just beginning to rest his head against the back of hers she tried to move to step on his feet. Tried at least, for when she did there was nothing there. It was as if he didn't exist. That in itself scared her even more.

The man on the other hand seemed in control, laughing lightly at her attempts. He knew deep inside that she would have fought sooner or later. It mattered not, he took in what time he had with her. Again his cheek brushed along her, though this time it was her hair. And how sweet it felt on his skin. He sighed heavily and for a moment squeezed her a little too tight, he had squeezed as if he was in pain.

Ki'Kai's face winced from the pressure and even began to cough. The air was squeezed out for a moment an it felt like her rib almost broke.

Suddenly Ki'Kai's eyes opened as she sat up on the bed hugging her stomach as she gasped for her breath. Her golden eyes looked around as if she was in a panic. Looking down at herself, she was underneath the covers an bottles of empty bottles of rum were by the bed. Sweat was to her brow and as she rubbed her face she soon could see everything in her room. Especially since the sun was rising and the light was shinning throughout the room.

She smiled in relief and in a bit of a sigh. Everything was clear, it was only just a dream. Hellion laid there next to her on bed, staring at her. Patting the spot closer to her, he inched closer as she hugged him then kissed the beast's forehead. She knew he would never let anything happen to her or anyone intrude on their space. So it all had to have been a dream . She should have known. They had left Tam's a long time ago but that just had never registered.

Perhaps she passed out when she had gotten into her quarter's? For a second she moved her right foot and winced at the pain. Maybe that bottle she had tripped over in her dream really did happen though she really passed out? Although, if that was the case how did she get in bed? Moaning from the confused she just gave up.

Debating she looked over at Hellion who now was just laying his head on her stomach. For a moment she could have thought she saw something else in his eyes but too many weird things had been going on. Shaking her head as she just put a pillow over her face and left it there until she passed out again. ~

Off the shores

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ Off the shores of the areas of blackstone. Ki'Kai anchored in a more secluded area as usual. The ship rocked as the sun just now started to rise. Kai, instead of being in bed was still wide awake. She laid on the top of the flat railing of the ship. Back on the wood she watched the clouds pass over above. Her lips smacking as she was picking meat out of her teeth with her tongue, using the occasional finger nail to get the bits of annoying pieces that would get stuck. A pleased fullfilling look was upon her tanned reddened skin, perhaps too much of one. Even Hellion whom laid lazily as his mistress had, stretched out over the deck of the ship he to licked his lips as blood dripped here and there. To some who knew Kai personally would be able to tell Kai was more and more embracing was she was. Trying to leave the scared girl behind and every day she improved. Never giving up on her goal be able to be at peace with the beast within. ~

~ But more grew within, the uneasiness. The need for not wanting to stay behind the curtains anymore. Most of the time Kai chose to keep hands clean of straight on dirty deeds and worked well behind the certain. After all most of the time people just saw her sitting on her butt, even if she had behind a few things. Though in Blackstone she had hardly left her mark, and living in her brother's shadow was never a good thing. She knew he was the silver tongued devil of the two. A skill she still tried to harness but, she knew out of the two she grabbed for the sword sooner then he did. An the fact that she knew she was stronger then him didn't help matters. Gifts turning into crutches at times. One works with what one has. ~

~ She nodded to herself as most of those thoughts ran through her head while she looked to the clouds. Catching a glimpse of a fluffy white bunny in one and suddenly become hungry again. Rolling off the edge then at the last minute putting her feet at the deck an standing up. Her boot clicked to the wood as she walked and her purse jingled with her coins with every step. As she headed back to her cabin her hands reached up then brushed back her hair as her fingers combed it back. When she got to her door she took out a thin leather strap to tie her hair back with. Didn't care much of what her hair looked like, as long as it was out of her face. Once it was tamed for the time being, she entered her room~

~ As she walked to her desk an epiphany. Maybe it was time for a change. A drastic one at that. The fingers of her right hand dragged behind her on the desk, finger tips taking in the smooth finish of the wood. Walking around the front until she was on the other side of the desk then just careslessly falling back into her red leather rolling chair.~

" Out with the old and in with the new. Hmm.."

~ Turning her chair an as she leaned forward to the desk she lifted up a quil, then after flipping the tid to open a container she dipped in the quill to get some ink. On a random already cluttered piece of paper she scribbled down a few words. Last names to be exact. The ones of her family. When she finished the last one she knew she toss the quill to the desk, the left over ink slightly splattering to drip on the parchment~

~ As she leaned back slowly to look like she was about to get comfortable. Though it was only for a second, for when her back reached the cold leather she suddenly sat up an got out of the chair. She moved over to her books that lined the inside of her cabin. Having her own extensive personal library from her collections from adventures. She took out translation books and books of myths. With about over 20 books stacked up in her arms she strutted herself back over to her desk. As she got to one side she balanced the stack on her right palm as the left cleared off more sturdy room on the desk . Once she was satisfied she just dropped them to stack on the desk. ~

~ When she was about to take her seat back in her chair Hellion padded in his own soundless way. With a heavy sigh she gave only a briefy smile merely at the look of him. He was always a soothing spirit to have around. ~

~ As he came to sit on the floor next to her, he seemingly looked at her with question. Lightly she caressed the top of his head as she answered to in what she thought his question was~

" Research for a rebirth. Meanwhile, what do you think of restocking a crew and actually doing something? "

~ His nostrils flared allowing some smoke roll an curl out all the while the eyes sparkled to resemble rubies. ~

" Better then doing nothing. To be honest, not even sure if there any sailors left on that piece of rock. I guess we shall see yes?

~ Her golden orbs shifted slowly as she stared at him seriously for brief time. Nodding as he reacted in nothing. For some reason they seemed to understand one another without even speaking. After all Hellion never spoke though she did wonder about him sometimes. Merely because of the fact, she didn't really know what kind of demon canine he was. Though matter not at the moment, what mattered to her right now was only two things right now. Both being connected to one. Starting over. ~

Preparing

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ Kai had fallen asleep in her chair. The Captain's quarters looked a mess. Papers were scattered around the floor, on the desk an where ever they would float to after a breeze would seep in through the partly opened windows. Occasionally a piece would even fall out of her lap. Kai's body was slumped down in the leather chair. Legs propped up on her large wooden desk, the legs crossed at her ankles. Her hair dangled in front of her face as her head was slightly tilted to one side and her mouth was agaped. Arms hung loosely at the sides of the arm rests, an the only sign of her being still alive was that one could see the open book that rested on her stomach moving with her breathing. Since there was no current crew there was nothing to disturb her peaceful resting. The ship rocking helped the peaceful rest, swaying back and forth over the tid bit of waves. The sweet salty caressing breezing that snuck in. All was bliss, that was until Hellion decided it was time for her to wake up. As he awoke by her side as he always slept next to her, he noted the time by the position of the sun through the glass windows in the cabin. An ear deafening bark was given off close to her. ~

~ Kai awakened to the urgent sound with a swift hand movements to the arm rests of the chair and her to standing then grabbing the hilt of her sword looking for intruders with her blurry eyes. Hair all straggly in her face as she looked this way and that. The body slightly swayed as she tried to focus upon the short awakening. With a tiny moan she lowered her hand then diverted her eyes over at Hellion, who almost looked like he was amused at the sight he just witnessed. ~

" Very funny "

~ She said unamused at him, grumbling a bit afterwards. Pushing her hair away from her face she started to pick up the papers that had floated all over. Not something she wanted to do but, most of it was order forms for things she required. After it was all nicely put into a pile she started to seperate the ones she needed for todays business. A paper weight was placed on the two piles an then left to her wash room to prepare for the day~

~ Hellion had watched her while that sparkle in his eye still was filled with amusement, laughing to himself on the inside. An when she left to prepare he went to the door. He grabbed the handle with his vise grip jaws an gently held on to it then turned to open. Being the size that he was it was an easy task, trotting out on to the deck he enjoyed the salty air whisking around. Hellion surveyed the open areas of the ship to make sure the sign was all clear for his mistress. Taking his time to check every where, any where anyone of any size could get to and hide. This was something he did on his own, his mistress barely asked anything of him. It was automatically given to her. It was a repayment of sorts. Kai had given him a home, a family, and a place in life. That was that sort of person she was, pirate or no. If loyal to her she would give you all she could, even her life if she thought you worthy enough. An that was hard to find. ~

~ Kai emerged from her cabin cleaned up, new cleans with paperwork in hand. Her hair tied back in a high pony tail behind her head, a slighty bit of black liner to her eyes, matching the black and red outfit she wore that was only dazzled up with the bright gold accents. She nodded her head upwards with her chin then over as stepped over to the edge of the ship. The ship that was anchored off land a descent ways for a human, although; it could be seen clearly. ~

~ Hellion knew what she meant, it was time to go. He immediately jumped off the ship on the side closest to land. A loud splash was heard as he hit the water and began to swim. Kai on the other hand, tucked her paperwork into her lower cut shirt, enough for it to be secure in the corset that was tied around it. When set , with a great amount of strength, agility along with what abilities she did have she jumped to the sky. Half of the distance there was a gathering of rocks to the sea, an thats where she landed slightly with easy though she slipped a tiny bit but, caught herself with her hands. It was a dangerous way but, it was good practice an training. When she got the sturdy position she needed, she jumped again. Just barely making the edging of the land. Her body leaned back as her heels weren't even on land yet. Luckly though Hellion had made his journey a quick one and his wet mouth just happened to grab her belt to pull her foward for better footing. ~

~ A quick. "phewing" sigh was given as she then smiled to her beasty. Patting him on his head. They then continued on to go about the towns to deliver the orders she needed. One to a master of ship design and repairs, another for just basic supplies, an another to a seamstress for some new sails and particular type of flags. ~

~ After all this would be taken care of, then the bigger stuff would start. Have to get all the ducks in a row before you go anywhere. ~

Another stepping stone

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ The past week days Kai had hired on more people to take on the big jobs she needed for the ship. The galleon was in so-so condition, needing some upgrades an darkening here an there to her liking. Not to mention new designs to the back an to the front for her vision of what was to come. She just pictured it, laying there on her back staring up at the ceiling while Hellion laid on the carpet next to the bed. A smile was apparent on her smile as the final product of everything could be seen so crisp. Even on the dirty ceiling of the Inn they were staying to, the images were still pleasing. ~

~Of course she missed her ship. For the first time in a long time the Morning Star was out of the water, held up at a ship yard to be brought up for all the fixes Kai had paid for. The company even hired more people on to fit the time frame Kai wanted. Money was no object when it came to the quality she wanted and how short she wanted it. She gave them permission to find other companies to get supplies, workers and craftsmen for whatever jobs they needed. As long as it was done and done perfectly. Being introduced to Hellion also helped them not want to fail, so she doubt she had anything to worry about. Not to mention it would probably keep the men's family feed for months to come and not just the bossmen but even the little worker bees. ~

~ In the meanwhile Kai decided to just try to pick up money here and there, keeping herself busy an extra money in the pocket never hurts. Considering how much she was dishing out, definately a want. ~

~ Though she had to admit it was boring. Being all by herself nothing to really do now, was never an interesting day. Sure business had to be taken care of but, just not like it use to be. Hopefully that would be remedied soon. One thing that was pleasing, was before the ship was taken. A carrier pidgeon found its way to Kai, carrying a little note from her brother. It was shocking since she had not spoken to him in over a month. He let her know of his location, in his own little way and not too specific just in case the message was intercepted. It was reassuring to her, knowing he was still alive and kicking. Doing the brotherly thing an keeping tabs as perusual. ~

~ She in return let him know that she had meet his daughter for the second time. How old she has gotten and taken up the family addiction of drinking. Mentioned how the young girl wanted to meet him and that Kai told her it was highly unlikely. Also let him know she gave the girl a picture of him and let him know that her name was Vicala. A few details were given about what she was up to, what she was doing to the ship along with a particular change to something else. It was written in a way only Kai and her brother could establish in case anyone else ever found their letters. The message was sent back the same day she had received hers. Less time spent the better, Malakai moved around too much. Though Kai always knew where to find him.~

~ Which slightly made her feel bad when she was speaking to her niece. Knowing Malakai would probably never come back to even meet her. Then again there could be hundreds of little Malakai's running around that they both never knew about. Only difference with this one was, that Kai actually frequented the land were he happened to drop his seed. For a few years Kai really did think her brother was going to marry the woman Nicca but, when he left it was of no surprise. Thats how they were. ~

~They left whenever they felt like it and where ever the wind blew them to. Plus, there was the complications of their bloodline. Not to mention Mal was just a hound dog, she knew that. Apparently the women never caught on. An year after year, unfortunately Kai started turning out more and more like him, although; due to her mother no matter what was in her blood, Kai would always have the split personalities. One moment wanting to devour what ever got in her way, an another wanting to give her all to help someone she cared for. Which made for quite an interesting woman, especially one in the piracy type of field~

The in between

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ Moonbeams shined through the branches and leaves of the thick forest landscape. Fog rolled along the ground. It was a eye catching gothic night, yet there was something missing. No wildlife throughout the entire area could be heard. Not by man nor by beast. Then suddenly a lone abnormally large bursted through some dark brush. Rushing through the forest a color of it could only be seen at a glimpse when the full moon beamed down to caress the fur of the beast. Menacing yet able to hold its own raw beauty. Its movement was so free, unbridaled it would make its gods proud. When its speed reached supernatural levels the wolf like creature would seem to leap and bound almost flying at times. It just seemed to want to marvel in itself and the magnificence of this moon kissed forest night. Its tongue licked out at the air, tasting the freedom it was savoring at this moment. Yet to the on looker, as this large creature ran behind some close knited foliage a catastrophe seemed to happen out of no where. Disturbing the peace of the night, loud blood curdling howling echoed through the magickal air.

An then as almost nothing happened, a naked woman ran out from behind the lush foliage.n Uncaring even though she had not even a stitch of clothing on. She just ran, ran through the forest just as the wolf had done before. An when that illustrious moonlight touched down on the woman, an angelic uncaged beauty was seen trimmed with long black hair. Everything captured caught with her golden eyes seemed to go in slower motion but that never wavered the enjoyment of it. Shadows and light danced over the scarred flesh of the beauty, her running never seemed to end. Even when another sound boomed to disturb the serenity her peace never faltered.

Clouds rolled in over head to over cast the moon, then gently a gods shower sparkled down from the heavens. The woman couldn't help but stop in a grove. Her head tilted back an her lids closed over her golden eyes to take part in the miracle. Cool crisp raindrops dampened her raven locks and rolled down her tanned muscular flesh. All was so innocent, pure in its own right. The woman moved over by a near tree. Relaxing a hand to it as she rested. The rain still falling and no other creature was around. Or so she thought.

With no noise, and no alarm within herself set off. Someone pressed against her. It was male, there was no question. For when he pressed up against her. It was felt, flesh upon wet flesh. A betraying sighing moan escaped her lips as she felt the fitting form. In her mind she cursed at herself. Cursed at herself for being lazy. Not being able to detect another. After all the years of war, had she been slipping? She checked, with a deep inhale still no scent of the male. It was odd but for some reason he made her melt. An what was worth. She allowed it. She found herself leaning back into his warmed. He leaned his head down to her and licked the rain drops of her right shoulder then up to her neck as he brushed the wet hair out of the way so slowly an casually. With sensuality he began to kiss her, an it wasn't just the sensuality of those kisses that sent her on the brink of insanity, it was the point of the honest love he did it with. He made her feel safe, that he was for her and just like her. That was why he was accepted where no one else was.

She could feel him aroused behind her, his right arm moved around possesively in front of her then so tenderly. He cupped the side of her face on the left side, turning her head over her right shoulder to face him. Her eyes appeared to be blurry , maybe because of the rain but at that moment she didn't care. Faintly their lips touched, soft pillowy wet flesh that just melted to fit perfectly together. She didn't know how long that heart touched kiss happened, it could have been anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours.

When the kiss finally ended an he pulled his lips away from her, his lips just smiled genuine at her and in that second she could have sworn she heard someone whisper some beloved saying to her but as fast as it came it had gone. Tilting her head as she stared at the man that she still couldn't really see all to well. She struggled as she tried so hard to focus her eyes and even though that should alarm her that she had just kissed a man she couldn't see, it didn't.

Then suddenly, a twig snapped in front of her. The woman turned her head to look but nothing was there. No beast, no man nothing. Soon after she realized she wasn't feeling any sort of warmth, she looked down at her body an his arm was no longer there. She turned around swiftly and he was no where to be found.

Sunrising over the tree tops and finally the complete form of Ki'Kai the pirate Captain could be reconized by all who knew her. Yet, that was not that bothered her. Her focus was for that man and where he had gone.

Just as she was about to start chasing thats when it happened, her world went black. Not even the sunrising could save her sight. For thats when Ki'Kai opened her eyes blurry at first until she blinked repeatedly. The sun shined in through her windows in the room in which they were staying to. Grumbling as she pulled the blanket over her head. Wiggling herself down more to get comfortable in bed. That was until her faithful companion managed to wiggle himself underneath the covers to. Snout to nose her hellish beast canine stared directly into her eyes. Sighing she couldnt help but cuddle into the demon dog, after all she always felt the safest and herself only around him. ~

the rebirth

~ A lengthful time had passed since Kai put her plans into effect. An today it was time to relaunch her ship. As the large galleon was set and the men on either side waited. Kai stood behind the large design of an angel with outstretched wings that was set to the front of the ship. It was her own personal touch, it reminded her of her mother and hoped it would keep her and the ship safe. With a bottle of rum in hand she swung over the bottle to christen it ~

" I christen ye, the Leviathan. "

~ After the bottle shattered and the rum sprinkled to the ship an in the air the men released it. It rolled down until finally cutting through the water to finally be back to where it belonged, to the sea. From the land one could see the design to the back of the ship, around the captain's quarters. The design on the back seemed more of the opposite of the front, where one showed angelic, the back showed more demonic. It was painted a darker shade of stain, looking as if shadows coiled around the banner of the ships name. No apparent clear shape except for that of coils coming out of the darkness to claim, though one clear thing was a pair of bright golden eyes an a slightly wolven face to the monsterous design. All of this represented the chaoticness of Kai. How she had both good and evil tendencies. An especially more animalistic rather than human. The ship itself bridged the yin and yang of her worlds, making it whole. ~

~ As the ship sailed along the seas close to the shores of the blackstone areas, the sun glistened on the now darker ship. Kai had it remade in every way possible, especially more suitable to escape in darkness of night. ~

~ Kai rushed around on the large ship as she hurried to bring them back to where they would set anchor. Even Hellion helped as much as possible with pulling on the lines when asked. It was relieving that this part of her tasks had been completed, and she graciously thanked all those hard working men who busted themselves to get in all done on schedule. Making sure she paid them a few bonuses. ~

~ As the winds whipped around them both they finally weighed anchor, as the chain rain across it gave a thundering noise. Kai and Hellion just fell back on their butts as she rested themselves from the hard work. Huffing , Kai looked up at the sky then just fell back to lay on the deck. Hellion not too far behind laid down next to her~

" At last complete. An at last all mine. "

~ Smiling to herself seemingly pleased. She petted Hellion and even in her happy moment she had to wonder to herself. ' Was her mother and family happy for her? '. Hours passed on without her even knowing as she debated on what her parents might be thinking about her. ~

~ As old as she might be, Kai still partly felt like a lost child inside. Oddly enough despite her age she still looked exceptionally young, which was probably a good thing for the way she acted at times. ~

~ Kai finally snapped out of it when her eyes came to focus and noticed the golden hues of the sky. ~

"Blast the sun is setting."

~She scurried to her feet and hurried along to her cabin, Hellion only a few steps behind her. Just as he followed her in the door closed behind, as now she prepared herself for the next steps. ~

The Code

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ It was a peaceful afternoon. The Leviathan rocked lightly in the sea, adding the soothing effect of the beautiful afternoon. As Hellion wandered the decks to make sure the ship was clean of rodents, Kai was way above deck. With legs outstretched and crossed to keep the ink container between her thighs. She sat comfortably on the main topmast. How could she resist. So high in the air to enjoy the salty breeze, take in the spectacular view of the floating cotton like white clouds go by in the crisp cornflower blue sky. Though enjoying herself from the location she choose, papers were to her lap as well as a writing tool. It might have been a bit more difficult then it would have been on solid ground or deck but, it was just not Kai to do things as they probably would be done by everyone else. ~

~ Carefully she scribbled to the parchments the codes that she had come up with for, more for the crew rather than herself. After all, she knew it was hard to get a group to function together in a single effort if there was no boundaries. As much as sailing and pirating gave freedom. One could not entirely be free if there was no was no law. She knew this, it is how it had always been on ships even if the landlubbers thought they were completely lawless. ~

~She nodded as she thought to herself as she continued to scribble things down. Of course many might question but, she saw it as this. Who would want to fight next to a stranger not knowing if they could trust them with their life, or money. Codes were put in place to give more of a sense of security, knowing if they were broken justice would be given swiftly. Plus, they always had the choice of never even stepping aboard her ship. For this was all that she had worked for, and if they didn't like it they didn't have to be there.~

~ Kai grinned in the thought of that and added the last one to the list. Tilting her head to one side as she looked the written list over. It was short but, at least to the point she thought. After all she did not want to take away too much freedom but, give enough security. If things came up not covered by the code, it would be delt with when time came the way all agreed upon. ~

~Lifting up her papers as she corked the ink container then put the writing tool into a pocket and just gripped the papers with her left hand. With her right gloved hand she took hold of a free dangling rope, pulling herself up from the sitting position she was in. She stood tall to the mast. As the wind blew back her long raven colored hair over her shoulders she presented a proud smile to the horizon. Pleased with herself. As then she jumped. Taking the rope in between her boots then slid down all the way to the deck below.~

~ Once her feet were sturdy , she swung the rope aside and she headed to her quarters. She entered first , leaving the door open. Setting the ink down and the rest of the papers except one. The one with the full code she had written. Taking a dagger off her desk she then walked by to her door, she exited and to the frames of the ship that were around her door. She held the code to where it was easier to see then stabbed the dagger through the top of the paper, then left the paper pinned to the ship. A hand caressed down the wood of the ship she had just pierced as if in apology or perhaps debating if she should really do this. Though it was not enough to change her mind. Kai turned away from it then returned back into her room. ~

~ The code is as follows ~

I. He that be found in betrayal, disloyalty shall suffer not anything less than death itself from the Captain.

II. He that shall be found guilty of cowardice in the time of engagements, shall suffer what punishment the Captain shall think fit.

III. He that shall be guilty of drunkenness in time of engagement shall suffer what punishment the Captain shall think fit.

IV. To desert the ship or their quarters in battle, may be punishable with death or marooning.

V. Good quarters to be given when craved.

VI. No striking one another on board, but every man's quarrels to be ended on shore, at sword or by agreeable means. The quarter-master of the ship, when the parties will not come to any reconciliation, accompanies them on shore with what assistance he thinks proper ; at the word of command, they start immediately, If the fight is at a stale then he is declared the victor who draws the first blood.

VII. If at any time you meet with a prudent woman, that man that offers to meddle with her, without her consent, shall suffer present death.

VII. Every man has the right to keep the money he makes on his own while on shore, and takes what he can find for himself when on lone venturing. In group ventures the booty shall be shared by the agreement of the crew. Punishment shall be given to those who horde or steal from the other crew members when the booty was collected in a group effort.

Flashback

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ A sound of leather cracking in the air mixed with chains rattling. A soft prideful grunt followed as then companied by the smell of blood. Light briefly swayed back and over through thin windows, showing the image of a damaged blood soaked woman. Arms chained from the ceiling as the legs were chained to the flooring. Wet black hair shrouded the face of the poor woman, sticking to her as she hung her head while catching her breath. Men stood all around drinking their rum, talking amongest themselves while one stood behind her. As some had their fun pouring the liquor over the freshly inflicted wounds the one behind used something he found more amusing. ~

~A black slim object slithered to the ground. Its sound would echo in the woman's ears. Knowing what was to come after, knowing it was a taunt. Swiftly a deep breath would be taken in, ripping more some of the already opened wounds to her back. Bracing herself. ~

~ Snap, the man unleashed the whip swiftly to the soft naked flesh. Slicing it until ruby red dripped from her. The body jerked making the chains rattled. Yet she did not scream for mercy or give them the satisfaction of anything. Her fists clenched as did her teeth. ~

~ Again, again and again until the entire back of her was marked with from that whip. ~

~Huffing for breath the body dangled there chained. Hardly even looking human with its red soaked skin and mangled flesh. No energy, no life, no love. Nothing. She just hung awaiting her time. An as she awaited a man approached her. Nothing was said, he merely stood there in front of her for a good while which to her seemed like forever. ~

~Then finally his hand rose, lifting her head up. An as she looked up at him with a mixture of sea blue and golden eyes. Half in and out of both of her selves. The man , whose face she could not see. Moved in and then....licked the side of her face. Repeatedly like a dog..and before she could react~

~ Kai opened her eyes. Blinking repeated to focus until finally Hellion could be seen to her bed. Kai covered in sweat from her dream of past memories was safe in her bed. Grunting she moved up to the other side of the bed sitting up. Rubbing the bridge of her nose as she sat slumped over on the edge of her bed, looked behind her to her companion. Saying with a sleepy tone~

" Thank you. "

~ Yawning she reached over to her night stand, taking the bottle of rum with her as she got up. An before she went into the wash area she stopped in front of the tall mirror. Bottle in hand, only in a part of shorts and a tank topped type of shirt. She turned ever so slightly to glance at her back in the mirror. Her empty hand reached up to touch gently over the whipping scars on her shoulder blades. She had hoped to of forgotten those nights. Obviously part of her didn't want her to forget, as if the scars over her entire back weren't enough. She wondered if fate or the gods had fun at her expense. ~

~ Maybe all of it was punishment for past wrongs, for her parents sins, for her own or for what animal she has become. ~

~ A heavy sigh was given and the hand touching to her scars dropped. The rum bottle was raised as she wrapped her teeth around the cork then pulled it out. Spitting it to the ground she then took a swig as she walked behind her changing wall to clean up and get ready for the day. ~

Quiet time or so she thought.

Post by Fatal_Tryst »

~ Kai returned to the ship. It was a quiet afternoon. All the dealings with the crew. She wondered if more problems would occur, after all she could see the concern from their point. The one crew member being in love with a paladin. After all if one miss slip of the tongue targets could be painted on their backs if ever the woman could be spiteful. On the other hand Kai respected their privacy, the men could be involved with whomever and whatever type they pleased. Kai being a daughter of a paladin herself, it hardly bothered her as much. ~

~ It ran through her mind only shortly. She was alone and thought it would be a perfect time to check on her secret chamber upon the ship. Even Hellion wasn't on board, for the first time in a long time. With the crew being more of a keeper, she let him go on land to find himself fresh dinner. Below deck by the areas where they would imprision anyone who need be restrained, thats where she came to what looked like the end of the area. Her hand lifted to caress over what looked like a plain wall to the unknowing eyes and thats when she heard it. ~

~ Her ears twitched hearing the boards above creek. A confused look came over her face as her crew members ran through her head and who would be on board. Magnus and Shamoke had their own places they disappeared to, an she knew Sky was busy and Dallas had not been seen in a while now. A sudden tingle rushed over her flesh as all hairs stood on end. One thought ran through her mind. 'Someone else was on board' . Her hand right hand immediately went to her hip to where her sword would have normally been. Wincing as she remember she left it up in her cabin after she had polished it. Her eyes then wildly looked around for something, anything to use as a weapon.~

~ The footsteps came to a stop by where she knew the stairs were. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she just ended up picking up a mop. Cursing to herself as to why she didn't keep more weapons in that area of the ship. As she waited with her back to the wall she stood in front of, hands gripping the mop she suddenly started hearing more footsteps and they surely weren't from the person who was by the stairs. How many were there really? ~

~She hoped Hellion would come back soon, no one else would be showing up any time soon she thought. Taking in a deep breath as she started to take her first brave steps. Just as she had started the one by the steps started its way down. Trying to be quiet but, thankfully he wasn't too stealthful in where he put his feet. The wood squeaked and groaned underneath the stranger. She was betting on perhaps they would come down one by one and maybe that trusty mop could possibly save her. Wouldn't that be a sight. She grinned to herself in the little amusement that was until she just started hearing all the commotion above heading for the stairs.~

" Eh crap. "

~She whispered to herself. Moving herself down the corridor like area until she got to the end of the steps, an thats where she saw a man she had never set her sights on before. An when he saw her he grinned with his rotten teeth then gave out a whistle to the others above. Marching down enough to be on the steps behind him. The one in front, she assumed to be just a grunt man, finally spoke with a rough step weathered voice. ~

" You there, you Ki'Kai Scourge? "

~ Muscles tightened at the mention of her name and the name her brother had chosen. This might not be good, she thought to herself.~

" Who? Sorry never heard of that person "

~ Narrowing her golden eyes as she readied her mop. Sighing, her mop~

" You look like him , you must be her. "

~ His brown colored eyes roamed over her face, her body looking at everything he possibly could. Kai felt ill to her stomach when he had looked at her that way, almost to the point where she wanted to throw up~

" Pardon? Look like who exactly? "

~ Snorting at him as the man merely laughed~

" Yeah they said you would be like this. "

~ Grinning behind his hairy upper lip, he seemed as if he wasn't going to do anything but talk. Then out of no where he lunged out at her to grab her by the hair. Kai immediately whipped up that wooden broom and smacked it at his forearm, shaking her head ~

" I don't think so you pathetic seadog. You best be rethinking your objectives on this ship. "

~ Her tone was in a threatening manner, to him and the men behind him. While one spit to the side, the man who she had smacked rubbed his arm aggravated while the other one started to draw out his sword~

" Now now missy, we can do this the hard way, or the harder way. Your choice "

~ Kai spit at their feet then licked her bottom lip as she grounded her stance ~

" How about you leave now and I won't kill you....right away "

~Her eyes darted wildly around to each of them. To her they all looked the same, dirty poorly dressed, sun dried faces with hair growing all over the place. She wasn't even sure of the color from the dirt an grime on them.~

" Enough of this. "

~ The one in front reached out again for Kai and this time she went an hit him over the head with the broom. Perhaps a little to hard as it snapped. She grumbled then backed up a few times as the man fell to the ground afterwards after loosing his footing after the hit. An when he had the one with the sword came forward swinging, Kai use to a sword fought back the same way. Unlucky for her, even though they looked gruffy his sword was sharp and cut right through the broom. Her eyes couldn't help but roll after watching it go through. That was the only time she had for after he sliced it through he bonked her on the head with the hilt of his sword, enough to knock her out.~

~ As her body went limp, the man with the sword cursed at the one who had so easily fell. Sheathing his sword he bent over then hoisted her up to toss her over his shoulder. As the other who had fallen was getting up he kicked him in his butt to move him out of the way. The stumbling man ended up ramming his shoulder against one of the barred holdings, as he held his shoulder he shouted angry curses to his crewmate.~

~ The swordsman laughed as he carried Kai up the stairs to the main deck where three other man stood. Six men in all had boarded her ship. The one carrying her brought her in front of one they called their Captain. He turned around to present her to him. The Captain grabbed a fist full of her dark hair and raised her face. Narrowing his rage filled eyes as he nodded to the others. ~

" Aye its her. Tie her up . "

~ One of the others unlatched a rope they had brought with them. The one with Kai over his shoulder brought her over to the main mast. That is where he stood her up with the back against it, as the one with the rope began to loop around the mast and tie her to it, then making sure her hands were tied to it on either side of her. ~

~The Captain looked to the others~

" There anyone else on board?"

" Not that we could see Captain, all is quiet. You know she don't keep no crew very long. "

"Aye."

~ All six of them now stood in front of the helpless Kai. The Captain looked over to the swordsman who had brought her up.~

" How hard did ye hit her? She's no good to us sleepin'."

" She was given troubles. "

~He answered briefly as the crewmen just shrugged his shoulders then stepped forward with one hand on his sword, he stood now right in front of her. Raising his free hand he back handed her across the face. As her head swiftly moved after it almost looked as if her neck snapped. ~

~ Kai moaned from the pain as her eyes squinted. Her muscles moved as if she was still free, and thats when she fully awoke. Looking down at herself then up at them. Her eyes rolled up, she had hoped maybe it was all nightmare and she would have woken up in her bed with Hellion. But, of course that would have been too easy. ~

Dallas Wyndstream was worried, he had been looking for The Captain all day but had not been able to find her. He checked her usual haunts and even checked with her suppliers that he knew of hoping to find her.

The last place he had to look was the ship itself, so he made his way out to the hidden shore through the dark forest cursing himself along the way for not setting his recall rune there.

He used the rune gate to get himself to the central forest and made his way from there using what little forest skills he had to get past the inhabitants of the dark wood.

Reaching the shore he noticed that the longboat was already gone, this set off a few alarms in his head but he brushed it off as nothing assuming that Sky or perhaps Shamoke had gone to talk to her. He was unsure still so he wrapped his new chosen weapons, dual scimitars, in oiled leather and stowed his chain covered robes in an oiled leather pack and began the long cold swim through the murky green waters, taking care not to make any noise and using incredible willpower to stay underwater for most of the swim.

Upon reaching the boat, about to reach out and grab a hold of the anchor rope he pauses, voices, rough voices... not the well known half orcen speech that he was used to from Sky, or the drawl from the undead Shamoke... these voices were different, he was close enough to hear their voices but not close enough to understand what they spoke. So instead of using the anchor to make his way onto the boat, he chose a different method.

Swimming to the stern of the ship he began the painfully slow climb up the back of the ship once again careful not to make any noise, his nimble elven fingers so used to drawing a bow string easily found holds in the ornate woodwork that was the Leviathan. minutes that felt like hours crept by as he climbed, soaking wet and weighed down by the wet pack full of armor and weapons, not to mention the fact that he was soaked to the bone and freezing, he would not allow this to stop him though, he had to get to Kai. How could he call himself her protector if he could not do this little task?

Reaching the top he peered slowly over to be sure that he was not heard or that his presence was not somehow made aware of. seeing no one and hearing no sound of alarm, he climbed over the back railing. wearing nothing but a pair of soaked black pants and having his scimitars in his hands he stalked slowly closer to the middle of the ship. that is where he saw it. Tied to the mast was his beloved captain and surrounding her was six men... their rough voices clearly heard now...

" How hard did ye hit her? She's no good to us sleepin'."

" She was given troubles. "

He answered briefly as the crewmen just shrugged his shoulders then stepped forward with one hand on his sword, he stood now right in front of her. Raising his free hand he back handed her across the face. As her head swiftly moved after it almost looked as if her neck snapped.

Kai moaned from the pain as her eyes squinted. Her muscles moved as if she was still free, and thats when she fully awoke. Looking down at herself then up at them. Her eyes rolled up, she had hoped maybe it was all nightmare and she would have woken up in her bed with Hellion. But, of course that would have been too easy.

He had to make his move... he drew a long round piece of wood from a leather case strapped to his pouch and strings it forming his king bow. with the bow, enchanted to create its own arrows, held firmly in his hand he knocks one of the five pronged enchanted arrows and lets fly, arrow after arrow loosed from the string three men fall dead before you could take a breath.

He drew his scimitars the silent hum of the sonic imbued weapon gently vibrating in his right hand and the dull hiss of the acid imbued in his left, he stood tall on the deck of the ship and jumped acid dripping from his blade, hands outstretched one on either side looking as though he was trying to glide he landed lightly soundlessly but for the two dull thumps that were the heads of two of Kai's assailants. The last however would not be that easy. The swordsman was trained, he knew his art well. Dallas hoped for six easy kills still being new to hand to hand combat. after all, he was not known as Archer for nothing.

The swordsman, made aware to Dallas' presence from that sixth sense that most fighters have, drew steel and turned just as Dallas thrust with his right-hand blade, the clash of steel on steel and the sparks that let off from the enchantments on both combatants weapons were deafening.

Dallas' initial thrust however was nothing more than a way to size up his opponent, to see what he was up against. he exhales in frustration at the loss of an easy kill. Usually Dallas is against killing but his mind is way beyond that point. He attacks again with a complex 1-3-1 maneuver meant to knock his opponent off balance, but the unknown swordsman is equal to the attack, matching every strike as if he could read Dallas' mind. On the third attack the swordsman does something completely unexpected and rolls in with one of Dallas' attacks his neck narrowly avoiding being cut open from cheek to cheek, and bowls into Dallas sending him sprawling.

Dallas hits the ground and rolls to one side barely avoiding the blade that lands where his stomach was moments before. He jumps to his feet and thrusts again taking advantage of the unknown assailant's moment of imbalance, and runs the swordsman through on his left arm, severing it down to the bone. blood spray across the deck and onto the front of Dallas as he steps into another attack, using an upward cut with his left arm.

Dallas closes his eyes after feeling the connection the acid imbued blade making quick work of the bones connecting the man's head to his body. The third and final thump as the man's head and body collapse onto the deck, Dallas lets out a sigh and drops his left hand weapon letting it fall with a loud clang onto the blood slicked wood floor.

He turns to Kai tied there on the mast and snaps out of his present mind-state realizing that the fight had a purpose. He runs to Kai and makes quick work of the knots that held her up. she falls into him and he drops his sword in order to catch her and lift her into her cabin where she can rest.

As soon as she is in bed resting soundly he retrieved his weapons and cleaned them on the clothing of the unknown swordsman. He tosses the dead bodies remorselessly into the ocean where he knows that the sharks shall feed well.

Dallas returns to Kai's side and sits in her chair waiting for her to wake and standing guard in case there is another attack.....

Shamoke sat in the dark forest and stared into his campfire. Opening a dark case, he carefully pulled out his mother's violin. The freshly polished blood-red stained body became luminescent in the light of the flames as he removed it from the velvet covered cusions. Placing it under his chin and pulling out his bow, he played a sad song of mourning. He was becoming more trouble than what he was worth, to his brothers but especially to his captain. He didn't really know what to do. All his life he was the authorative figure: Being the oldest of his brothers, and managing his crime Syndicate back home, he never had to answer to anyone for his actions. He tried noble actions, but they seemed to be overlooked. His temporary mood of depression influenced his immortal self's curiousity. Interrupting his "beautiful" song, he quickly stood and thrusted the violin over the fire, his sleeves snapping from the force. As he watched the violin heat up, he could feel his blood boiling, his insides ready to burst like a blood sausage. He quickly snapped out of it and pulled his arm back to his chest. His body cooled. After a few breaths of realizing how close he had come to death, he investigated the masterpiece for damage. The polish had parted from where the flames were closest, but the wood was not damaged... the closest he had ever come to his true death. Slightly annoyed with his carelessness, he sat back down and pulled out some polish to repair the damage, and further protect his cursed life.

As he was doing so, he couldn't help but notice twelve men walking by, with their swords drawn... foul intention on their faces. They walked towards the hidden shore. Shamoke had many questions, such as how would they know where the Leviathan was docked, or what they wanted with the ship, but he decided they weren't the talking type and followed them. Hiding in the shadows, he was close enough to smell the intense body odor and see their rotted teeth. He was waiting for a reason to strike, when the one in the front, probably the leader of the grunts, spoke.

"There will only be one longboat. So some of you will have to swim. Don't strain yourselves too much, as Ki'Kai is a master of the sword. Do not kill her, we need her alive." That was all he needed. Now he was positive that they had a premeditated kidnapping, or possibly an assault, against the captain.

They approached the beach and six of them got in the longboat. Shamoke had to fall back, as he knew he would have less cover where there was no trees. He waited until the longboat was well ahead of the lethargic swimmers, and slipped into the water behind them. As his chin approached the water line, he couldn't help but hold his breath... a habit of his life as a mortal. Breathing did absolutely nothing for him, except perhaps a slight feeling of still being... alive. He waded out into the dark sea, his long elven hair floating back with the wake, until he was in a near fifteen foot depth. Look up from the ocean's bottom, he saw the six men, struggling with the tide. Watching them like a lion stalks its prey, he couldn't help but notice that this reminded him of his childhood, picking apples out of a tree. Smiling from the memory, he imitated his young self's movements. Grabbing one man by the ankle, Shamoke yanked him to the ocean's floor. The man, now paniced, began franticly trying to swim back up to the surface. As quickly as Shamoke pulled the man down, so did the man run out of oxygen. As the man's body slowly became limp, Shamoke pulled the man face to face, letting the man see his bright glowing red eyes. The man opened his mouth, as if to scream, but alas he had no more air to release, and lay.... er... floated... dead. Shamoke smiled and pretended to take a bite out of the man, still pretending he was a child and the man an apple. Looking back up, he realized he had too much fun with his victim and needed to get serious, as the other five were near the halfway point.

Speeding things up a bit, Shamoke grabbed two men at once, who were swimming side by side. These men were not as foolish, and immediately tried to remove Shamoke's grip from their ankles. Noticing he had brought their feet to the sand, he let them have their wish. As quickly as the men realised they were free, Shamoke removed their cutlasses from their sheaths and stabbed the rusty swords into their hearts symultaneously. Wasting no time, he moved himself to the next man. Perhaps this man was a new recruit or would sell anything for booze. Whatever the case, Shamoke soon realised that this man only carried a club... a weapon not so useful underwater. As this man struggled like the others, Shamoke didn't even hesitate to grab the man by the throat and use his Monk Power Grip. The man's throat collapsed, and Shamoke made a fourth tally on his mental checklist. Only two more.... Oops, make that one. Shamoke passes a sinking corpse. Looks like this one just couldn't make the swim. Shamoke chuckled at his luck and moved on to his last victim.

This man proved to be a formidable foe underwater. For as Shamoke pulled the man's ankle bringing him to the bottom, the man quickly unsheathed two rapiers and scissor-sliced Shamoke's wrist. Shamoke pulled his hand back instinctively, and the two of them watched as his wrist stopped bleeding ash, and regenerated completely. Even though this man was startled, he didn't think twice before stabbing both his swords into Shamoke's chest. "Fair enough," Shamoke thought to himself, and grabbed the man by the wrists and pulled him close, sliding the swords deeper into himself. Now the man's eyes were full of fear, and Shamoke grinned at the sight. Pulling his right arm back and hooking his finger, Shamoke charged his Ki power and thrust his hand through the man's chest and out his back. Shamoke looked over the man's shoulder, confirming he had his heart, and placed it in his other hand, showing it to the victim. The man's eyes widened as blood leaked from his mouth, disappearing in the salt water. Shamoke tossed the heart to his side and left the man still standing there. "I wonder what he's thinking about right now," Shamoke thought, "Probably, 'Ouch, that hurt. Hey, is that my heart?!'" Shamoke chuckled at his sociopathic joke and climbed up the ship's anchor. Oh no... he had wasted too much time. The longboat was empty, and he heard commotion coming from the deck.

" How hard did ye hit her? She's no good to us sleepin'."

" She was given troubles. "

Crap! Well, at least she's still alive, Shamoke thought, and made his way up the long thick chain. He knew he could take them one by one, but all at once? There was too much doubt. He reached for the side of the boat and hung there contemplating a strategy, when he looked over and saw Dallas charging one of them. Smiling to the fact that he had some help, and also being thankful that Dallas hadn't arrived a moment sooner, as Shamoke may have accidentally pulled him under and possibly have killed him, he hopped over the side and around the corner of the cabin into the shadows once more. Waiting... listening... until he heard five thumps, echoing across the ship's hull.

Coming around the other corner, he saw dallas had already slayed five men and was fighting another skilled one. Shamoke decided to stay behind until he was sure Dallas was in need. His suspicions were correct, and Dallas was victorious. He watched as Dallas walked over and untied Kai with gentleness and gracefully carries her to the cabin. When Dallas returned, Shamoke snuck into the cabin, making sure the captain was alright, and also intending to make a very horrible joke. Soon Dallas returned to the cabin after disposing of the bodies and sat near Kai. Shamoke slowly walked up from behind and grabbed the shoulder of Dallas, giggling as the Elf flew from his chair with swords drawn. When Dallas saw that it was him, Shamoke put a finger over his lips to make it look as if Dallas was causing too much noise for the sleeping captain. Unable to hold his straight face any longer, Shamoke smiled and patted him on the back. Letting Dallas return to Kai's side, Shamoke leaned up against the wall, politely waiting for the captain to awaken, but also anxious to tell them what had happened.
