Drunkard's Tale

Post by ValentianNizzle »

An excerpt from Alizáe 'Darkeye' Ahrends travelling diary.
To tell the truth, someone should've probably told Orlock to shut up, but no one did so, so he merely continued to sing a little diddly he had heard a jovial Bard recite earlier at the tavern near the docks, at the local gathering point in the middle of the city.

There once was a lady from Fort Arc
So curteous, and ever so polite
Alas, none liked her - so boring and stark
None gave her time of day nor night

And so it came, one faithful evening
We broke into her home, oh yes!
All the while, the old crow was sleeping
We all trod with woeful step

Then we grabbed her by the arms and legs
After we stole it all, dear kinfolk
And now she bores us no more
For we threw her out her own window!

Orlock laughed as hard as his drunk arse could, while all the townsfolk stood around him with odd expressions all directed at him. A fight ensued, talk of justice needing to be done came up afterwards, the Warden arrested Orlock, naught but a hour later. He was hung from the highest tree the next day.
Morale of the story? Never drink and listen to Bard's tales that happen to be true.

- Alizáe Ahrends, travelling Warlock.
