Pros and Cons of the new cloaks

Post by T'banyin »

Pro, they look cool.

Con. Not every type of role wants or needs a cloak always visible.

Con. Cannot change appearances ( so far that I can see ) in game.

Con. Cannot use dye kits on them to change colors.
( only driller can color them, at toolset level, and then your stuck with it that color forever )

Thats my thoughts off the top of my head, anyone else?

You can always remove them in a case like that.

Pro-A fate statue just gave me a Nymph Cloak +5 tonight! And its blue with silver lining!

Con- I don't think I have any characters who wear blue....

We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder.

Pro : All of my characters look great

Con: It's because all of my cloaks suck, so I took em off! (Why look like crap for a +1 to anything?)

8) Style over substance... that's what I say. 8)
The design is pretty cool, but without dyes to change the scheme... bleh
Also, I have a toon with some very nice armor that I crafted the "neck" to give a nice cape to. Now, with my limited crafting skillz and for a whole lot of gold... I could remove the cape to accomodate a bleached-turd colored cloak!

Overall, I like the upgrade. It just seems a little incomplete at the moment.

Thanks to the CEP update we can dye them, but we still can't change the appearance. :\ Hopefully that is being worked on, I imagine some people buying some cloaks just for the model, and not really caring about the stats....

...Hey, that might not be so bad. Get away from the PvP powerstruggle.

Easy, Striker... who said anything about PvP? I like the save bonus when I'm tacklin' druids. I just wish (like everyone else wishes...) that I had a nice looking cloak with decent function. :D

Nice, colouring is finally working on them ;)
Woohoo... sorta :P Now all we need is crafting on them, and a null cloak added in on a new line ( if it isn't already on the 2da ) and we are all set :)
