Lost a few portraits, but how???

I'm soo confused. I first thought it was a bug on BSK, then I realized I got the same problem locally, so it's a problem on my computer somehow.

I've been playing NWN since it came out, I have (at least since 2005) used the same portrait pack. Now I've been away from NWN/BSK for a couple of months and suddenly I'm missing a couple of portraits. I still have the same portrait pack (redownloaded, reunpacked just in case) but still, I can't use my favourite portraits. I have (as far as I know) not changed anything in my steam installation of NWN, not changed anything in my override/portrait folders, but still not the proper portraits.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm fresh out of them....

I had lots of tga-files in my portrait directory. I checked my backup (yes, I do backups...) and I have the same files, but still they don't show.

I did a quick-fix, though. I downloaded a shitload of portrait packs and now I have some 3844 portrait files, so I can now see my portraits again.... Damned if I understand what went wrong.

Anyway, it works right now, so don't spend any more energy on this, please.
