Messages in the combat window

The following is appearing in my, and my DM combat window.

Name: Sigma

Name: Elver Galarga

Both these are names of players currently playing on BSK.

Is this something new? or not supposed to happen?

Also... when you go to use your portal book you get a message about having to unequip before adding a socket..

Portal book still works fine though
