Farming forge and socket stones?

If it is not against any Server rules (or the crafting agenda ), then i'd like to ask if there is a way to posses more either socket or forge stones? Are there any specific places where there is a random drop from enemies? Especially the forge ones.
Also, is there any other way to get the socket runes other than doing Quests?

You get both Forge stones and Socket gems as rewards from quests. Other than that, both Forge stones and Socket gems are random drops. In general, the higher level area, the more chance of Forge stones, is my experience.

Some Forge stones (the more exciting ones) are not dropping as often as others. Also, the best 2-3 Forge stones will only drop at a couple special occasions.

BTW, is there something like a cleansing stone? I just messed up my weapon, made it for paladin only being Blackguard Oh well, baack too woork...

Well there is the Random Property Remover, works on any item.
