BSK1 - Socket Gems Curse

Socket gems are now unusable. The newer dropped gems will give and message the "Shalnath Curses You" when you try to use them. That's on armor or weapon. The older dropped gems do work ok but new ones are unusable.

Random you say, hmm, i must be missing something then cause, of about 15 tokens i had, 12 are "curse" , do i have to call that bad luck or what?

It really depends on how you acquired them. In any event, it will happen a lot less after the reset.

I got 14 out of 15 cursed!! Basically ever one I got from the ants to Marvale and underdark. What do I do with them ... trash can?

Oh, perhaps having them turn red for being unusable would be nice. Then you can tell which are good and which are bad.

An does this curse apply to forge stones too?

I see now that it's not the socket gem that is cursed but the attempt to use it.

This may also explain the rate at which they are falling. Does remove curse spell work?

If only Fen, if only. It's no biggie..you getmore for selling them when they're socketed.

The weapons cursed by Mr. S have a flag attached to them, "no damage"!! What does that mean? The weapon does no damage??? Boy someone gonna be PO'd if this happens when he's putting the last socket gem on a fully forged +20 weapon!!

you socket it first anyway, unless you have a red

Regarding cursed gems and weapons. There are ways to remove curses.
