Animal companions/summons

Post by Milk_Chocolate »

Is it just me or do pets not trigger loot upon making kills?

That has been the price to pay for standing behind a pet when fighting. Just feel luck we get XP when a pet kills; it did not used to be so.

I prefer if summons and animal companions allow us to get drops from monsters they kill. The way it's working now, it discourages the druids and rangers from using their class feature. This is exacerbated by the fact that loot drops are the only way to get socket gems and imbue stones. For the druid, it discourages them from using their spontaneous summoning as well as making a few of their spells non-starters - magic fang, greater magic fang, awaken, nature's avatar for example.

I have adjusted the script for loot drops and xp(for hirelings). Try it now.

Well at higher levels the animal companions and summons are getting a bug message of . "No xp for 5 level difference". For my ranger that means I can't use my animal companion. So, I have been doing without Ta-Ta's pussy. I miss that cat. :(
Will tehre be a way to raise it's level with mine so he isn't oover 5 levels below me? I'm only level 24 ranger.....
