I have drow character that the town crier calls out the wrong number of seasons she has earned at level up. For example, she has just got level 2 and the town crier is saying that she has 4 seasons. Nothing real serious, but annoying.

I guess the Level Adjustment of certain races count as Hit Dice according the the game engine. My Aasimar has 5 cleric levels plus one for her race and so the Town Crier considers her to be a 6th level character.
The only constant is change.

Yes, but the strange thing is that drow are only +1.
