Quests for High Level PC's with Forge Stones as Reward

The nature of this dungeon is that you can attain lvl 40 without completing all the dungeons quests. To encourage some adventure I suggest a script change so that instead of being awarded experience points a lvl 40 would recieve a forge stone of random color, maybe an infamous amber. I don't know if the scritping code allows such things but I though I'd run it up the flag pole and see who salutes it. This would apply only to the Wasteland and Oasis quests, killing the den mother at lvl 40 should not be rewarded with a forgie.

I have not stepped foot in a shrine dungeon in all of Murken's 24 levels. He participated in a DM run event and got a nice scarlet forge stone as a reward. That is the way I think amber forge stones should be given out. If you love BSK enough to stick around through a DM event instead of grinding through an area then you deserve the rewards. Not that there have been many DM events on when I'm on but it's the principle of the thing.

We the DM staff try to do our utmost to make all players enjoy their playing time on BSK with little events and such and yes for good sportsmanship and creative ideas rewards can be given....but sometimes with all of us being in massivly different time zones events are few and far between because of RL commitments such as work or family ..but we try our best to make sure eveyone is happy

Better not it appears to be affecting his mental faculties! Tell me wdpepsiman how many fingers am I holding up .. *holds up one finger*

The point is why do the rest of the quests when the only thing you get is a couple of grand and some ep that you don't need, unless your crafting wands. Forgie awards would help some complete the kits rather than the endless running gun battle with the Umgahs!

well now i would venture to guess that you have not been to every area this server has to offer and as for not doing the other quest that is your choice. try asking in game about secret areas, i can tell you that sometimes the drops you get would be pretty nice and also try the tomb of terror if you can defeat Aildreck..

ps.. you get xp as well

I somewhat agree with this theory. I threw down in the Jackals event last weekend and got a couple really cool items. Now that was a grind. But I'd say the loot given out was sufficient enough, and I didn't get an Amber. It's really at the discression of the DM's. They're the ones who ultimately decide whether the show we put on was worthy of reward, since we're kind of entertaining them, at times. There's my 2 cents.

I've just jumped in here really quickly and so haven't read every word on this thread. I just wanted to put in a short note to Capt Cliff about the original idea of no xp for lvl 40s....

I make wands... that eats xp... lvl 40 or no.... I need xp to make wands.

Let us not change that.
