Okay been hit by this error code and can not login to NWN-EE at all am stoped by the error message in the title, Apparently not a Beamdog issue but a windows error... Tried alsorts of things to fix this but no joy what-so-ever... Even a complete reinstall and still this message prevents login... Anyone got any idea's here at BSK or experienced similar issue ?

Am just hopeful at the moment because having a new computer in a few weeks time... Beamdog have suggested my current system is corrupted but I do not believe them as all my other games work fine with no issues at all...

When are you getting this error code?

When you reinstalled did you remove the NeverwinterNights folder in you documents folder?

It is showing up as soon as I hit the play button on the login menu...

I have removed and unistalled both ways round and then gone into my folders and deleted the remaining even emptying the waste bin... I also have tried reinstalling it on a different drive to no effect same point the error message hits...

Make sure Windows is in good state.

Right click on the start menu on the lower left of your desktop and select Windows Powershell(Admin)

1.First, make sure the file system is in order. Enter this command for all your hard drives.
fsutil dirty set c:
fsutil dirty set d:

etc...etc...
Then reboot.

2.Repair any found corruption to Windows. Open Powershell as explain above.
Enter and run this command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
When it finishes, then run this one: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
After that, run this: sfc /scannow

3.Update any and all drivers.

The usual disclaimers apply. Do this at your own risk.

Many thanks Driller it worked, my friend also got her's fixed to using the powershell commands... For some odd reason Beamdog are duplicating all the files and folders elsewhere on our computers and then getting error on the where we wanted the files corrupts the copy one and then that copy produces the error 3221225477... Deleting that copy then clears the erro and the game is playable again...

Am not sure what is going on but am guessing particularly if you don't install on their prompted install the duplicate is sent along with all the folders and files to their prompted local at installation... Seem the option to browse to your own desired location is somehow broken or down to poor programming... Still it now works for me and my friend and I am happy that it does... Am guessing though for the moment I will have to keep an eye on that folder where the duplicate is being created to stop the error reoccuring ...

Make sure you run dism in an elevated command prompt as a local admin.
Copy paste the commands, don't type them in.
Install any pending Windows updates.

That's the issue, it won't work like it does on Windows 10. You might consider searching google for advice on repairing a Windows 7 install.
