Mind Flayer Overmind (CR:212)

The quest begins with the journal entry...

"Go to the Underdark via the well room in the Oasis Tavern and search for the Mind Flayer City. Find the Mind Flayer Overmind and bring back it's Esper organ to Azamon in the Citadel."

So when i go to the well room all i see is the portal, but it takes me to the Citadel. maybe i am missing something in that room, but i searched it and all i can see is the portal (which reads Underdark Portal) but it takes me to the Citadel. I know i can get to the Underdark from the Citadel, where Azamon gave me the quest, but it didn't make sense that i would go back to the Oasis only to come back to the Citadel and -then- find the Underdark passage from there. Am i missing something? Also, sorry to nitpick but "it's" should be "its" lol sorry.

Go south of the Underdark Crossroads and search for the Mind Flayer City. Find the Mind Flayer Overmind and bring back its Esper organ to Azamon in the Citadel.
