A few necessary clarifications here: 1. What most of you have been suggesting is this thread is the RL equaivalent of sanctioning road rage because somone's cut you off in traffic. 2. More importantly - this mod is Driller's back yard. That being the case, he gets to make/change the rules. No one is...

I certainly appreciate the variety and depth of this discussion, but there are a few key things I wish to point out: 1. Just about every rule that we have on this mod is in place due to rampant abuses were so compelling as to motivate Driller to enact such a rule. That is definitley the case with PV...

On the flip side of the argument, I often play chars who can hide quite well, usually SD's. If I'm engaging with a MoB and then shadow-hide, and that MoB begins to pursue another PC or party, my loss. Usually, I'll try to party up with whoever it is, but if not - I can't expect anyone to just stand ...

For what it's worth, I've created a brand new char too. I've found the wolves and undead don't drop a heck of a lot, but other low level areas are plentiful. By level 5, I've already collected over 200k worth of stuff, including a Vorpal dagger that was worth alot more than the 50k I got from Vogon....

I'm considering coming back, and this sounds like the kind of thing I'd want to dive into. I'll talk with Driller about this and get his thoughts.

As to the first point about the golem: Just realize that some people can be idiotic. It sounds like you were pretty much in the right, but hey, life isn't fair all the time. As far as the larger issue of kill stealing goes: Well, it's always going to be somewhat of a judgement call. As others have e...

The one prevelant thing I've been seeing in these posts is the word "I". My guess is that each of you is hunting alone. Try hunting in a small party, where you have less chance of getting your arses kicked, and chances are you'll see better loot. It's just too bad that people are generally...

Depends on your build, really. Any stealth-based char can romp on the bandits or minitaurs, and hole their own against many other types of monsters. While ranged weapon chars can own the farm against baddies like waste giants and scorps. Those are just a few examples, but i could go on for days... T...

Fare Thee Well

Well folks, it's been a good run - over five years now, but it's really time I turned in the keys. Blackstone was essentially the first mod I played on, and has given me gazillions of hours of enjoyment both as a player and DM. But it's time for me to move on. I really want to thank Driller for all ...

In summation, BSK can't be wrapped up into som neat little packeage. just because you had ease with quests 1 & 2, it does n't mean that quest 3 will be a breeze. To some extent, this is by design. The best course of action, as said earlier, is to ask questions, group with a party, and most of al...

I've always been a fan of the Secret Crypt - six levels of undead fun. Of course most of the time, I just bolt straight tot he third level. Those skel devourers can be a pain.
