must have been some custom scripted spell those servers were using.
as far as i can remember, it's always been a paladin spell in NWN even in the pens and paper version, the wiki also say the same.
which make it a divine spell by default.

it will just stop you from a few quests he give but won't cut you from any of the others lines.
if you easely want to change your alignment or re-adjust it one day, the beggar near the chest in town can help you.

same for helmet, type /helm

use 5/ and 10/ resistance belts until you can use better. try and use the right 5%/10%/25% physical immunity armor/robe when fighting an opponent. use a socketed weapon for leveling, add 3 different elemental damage types as you level up. can find and use altars which most of the time give you bonus...

I also noticed it not working as it should after a few hits.

just tried the bladeweaver fullplate armor with my own Bladeweaver toon, when you try to equip it, it say "Only Bladecaster can wear this armour" and you fail to equip it.

gloves are not melee weapon per say.
since the stone seem to be working for melee only right now, nothing related to gloves would work as is.

Any item with a class restriction cannot be unforged.

always been the case with gmw wand, basically some wands work better than others. sometime it's the scroll version that is best.
