It's my understanding that you're correct, it only works in defensive casting mode. Improved CC is what takes the AoOs away from your casts automatically regardless of combat mode.

These are suggested rules changes -- I see no issue with them being in the suggestions forum. In fact I think this issue needs visibility in order to get attention -- we've gone that route before.

Oh, and Wing Zero just used multiple accounts to kill Gimli and I to assist Roland during a fight he was losing. He even has to multi-box to PvP.
