See...told ya there were more imaginative people out there. Basically we'll always have some displeased players. The day we stop having displeased players, we will, in all probability, no longer have players. Another whole take on the problem... more diversity equals an interesting server. As the se...

I have watched this discussion for some time now and it seems to be interminable. Perhaps that is because there is no one solution that can satisfy everyone. On a server like BSK you can find players who are looking for hardcore RP and ones who want to hack'n'slash..... as well as everything in betw...

Which Gamespy Category?
As it is today, which Gamespy category best describes BSK? Please judge the server as it is, not as you would like it to be. I am not looking for a preference but an honest evaluation. I have had to leave out several categories because the forum will not allow too many options. Post comments if you...

No More Threats
It seems that this particular threat gets thrown in to many discussions on these forums. 3. Driller once before had gotten so fed up with people trying to tell him how to run HIS mod, and other factors, that he pulled the plug on it. There's nothing to stop him from doing that again, if even on a wh...

Do some research.... http://www.darkshire.net/jhkim/rpg/theory/ What Driller is attempting here, namely accommodating many different styles of play on one server, may not be possible. Continual attempts to do so may be what is causing much of the discord evident in these forums. I would suggest the ...

Driller, you are a good builder and scripter. Unfortunately you cannot build something that will maintain itself. A good server must also be a community and in that you have been negligent. You have been an absentee landlord who relies on a management team to keep things going. The fortunes of BSK h...

 You have issues with Driller, then take it up in PM's with him. You are just not listening...and that is part of the problem. We have sent messages to Driller. He does not respond which is extremely rude. Perhaps he simply does not care. Respect must be earned. It is not granted automaticall...

The Epitaph of Eric Skallagrimson 'Heart must be braver, courage the bolder, Mood the stouter as our strength grows less! Here on the ground my good lord lies Gory with wounds. Always will he regret Who now from this battle thinks to turn back. I am old in years; I will never yield, But here at the...

And for reference, since it's related, I stand by my support of Stephen R Donaldson's Law and Chaos interpretations: And since I kinda sidestepped the issue in the other thread, let me say that I can agree. The difficulty seems to be that chaos and order are more readily accepted as relative catego...

So far most of the posts here do not differ greatly from my own views on the subject of evil. My guess is that it permeates our culture. Of course this begs a very big question...Where did the concept of good, neutral and evil found in the DnD manuals come from? It seems to be somewhat counter cultu...

The best and noblest paladin type character Foli ever knew was a dwarf called Fifer. During one of our adventures he was chasing a bad guy through an orphanage when the mage possessed him and caused him to kill several children. Fifur recovered control and chased the mage down, killed him and severe...
